“My biggest challenge before working with Kayla was finding someone who was within our budget but could execute our needs for our wedding. She makes the process so easy! That is why I loved her as our baker. The one moment when I realized she was the one was when she told us we got to do a “charcuterie style” cake tasting. We chose different flavors, fillings, and icing options to mix and match until we discovered our dream combination. To anyone thinking about working with her, do it!!! The cake she made us was the BEST cake we have ever had. She was so kind, energetic, and helpful during the entirety of the wedding planning process. The wedding day could not have been better. As a first-time bride, I had no idea what I was doing, but you eased my mind and guided me to exactly what I wanted. “The cake tasting experience was wonderful as Kayla was involved, but she did not pressure the client one way or another. She allowed us to taste everything and combine our own flavors into what we wanted for our guests and ourselves. “Wedding planning is super exciting for the first few weeks until reality sets in that you (unless you have a wedding planner) have to actually PLAN this! I was super nervous to do tastings and never find that taste that would just be perfect for our day, but the SECOND I met Kayla and my husband, and I sat down for the tasting I just had a comforting feeling that we were in good hands. The minute we tasted all of the samples she had prepared that was it we knew we HAD to have her do our cake! “Kayla offers tasting sessions where you pick out some ideas, but she also has some great suggestions that have worked in the past. She was really supportive of our choices even if they sounded strange, but they were soooo tasty! We showed her an inspiration picture for the decoration, and she had lots of ideas, very transparent about how it could fit into our budget. That was probably what made us realize she was a winner, Kayla’s very considerate and we felt no judgement when we had to tweak plans to balance our needs. You’re not going to get this kind of service from a big store or a caterer that wants to upsell. She checked in a few more times before the wedding to ensure the order was still what we needed and the set-up day of was flawless.
